Grief is hard. While we cannot change your reality, we can offer some wisdom from others who have walked this journey. And often there is also comfort in gathering with others and supporting one another as we realize we are not completely alone in our grief.
The holidays can be especially challenging as we think about handling all the emotions of the season, what to do about our traditions, managing social events and the unpredictability of grief, and family expectations. Grief Share: Surviving the Holidays is a ½ hour video that gives very practical tips on how to cope with this time of year. It’s a compilation of both experts in the field as well as people who are grieving which results in really helpful tips—down to what language to use with family members—to help you cope with your new reality.
Whether you are grieving the loss of a loved one, or whether you want to support a family member or friend who is grieving, join us for some helpful tips on getting through the holiday season. Workshop will include video and discussion facilitated by Amy Rowell, Community Life Pastor at City Church. Book, refreshments, and childcare provided. All adults welcome, regardless of whether or not you call City Church home. Free, but please register so we can plan accordingly.
