Psalm 15

Posted on

REFLECT:  Based on the six actions and four restraints that define the person invited into God’s presence, who is able to dwell with God? (Psalm 14:2-3). Jesus, The Righteous One, opened the way to have peace with God and gives us the Holy Spirit to be our strength and guide in daily living. (Romans 5:1-2). How much do you desire to live this godly lifestyle?

RESPOND:  In 2 Thessalonians 1:11, Paul’s prayer was for God’s power to bring to fruition our desire for goodness and acts that flow from our faith. Which of these 10 standards is most difficult for you right now? Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with God’s power to live in a way that more clearly reflects Jesus in that area.

Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain?

The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;

whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others;

who despises a vile person
but honors those who fear the Lord;
who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind;

who lends money to the poor without interest;
who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.

Whoever does these things will never be shaken.
