REFLECT God’s people are not always protected from troubles in this world.  Look for at least three difficulties when God sustains those who trust him. What do God’s gifts look like? How has God given you strength in the midst of challenges?

RESPOND David, the author of this psalm, calls us to a life of faith and to be alert for God’s work in our lives.  Make a chart of what David encourages us to do on one side, and what God will do on the other.  Circle the human actions that are difficult for you right now. Ask God to strengthen your faith so that others can see his work through your life.
